Experimental study on the erosion characteristics of moving blades in cold state model of flue gas turbine

    • In order to study the erosion mechanism of the moving blades of the flue gas turbine, the erosion characteristics of the moving blades in the cold state model of the flue gas turbine are explored,The method combining erosion experiments and high-speed photography experiments was adopted, The erosion experiment analyzes the erosion characteristics of particles on the surface of moving blades by changing the particle shape, particle size and inlet air volume,Meanwhile, the mechanism of particle erosion was explored through high-speed photography experiments, Five different shaped particles were set up in the erosion experiment. It was found that the multi-angular particles (such as emery and quartz sand) often caused more severe overall wear,1 while the circular particles (such as brown corundum sand) suffered more concentrated damage. When different particle sizes were set, it was found that when the particle size increased to 600μm, the damage on the blade surface intensified significantly. By setting different inlet flow rates, the analysis revealed that when the flow rate reached 1800 m3·h−1, the leading edge of the blade and the pressure surface were severely worn,Further increasing the flow rate found that the degree of the wear intensified, but the position with the most severe wear remainedunchanged,This is basically consistent with the results observed in the high-speed photography experiment; The result show that larger the sharpness factor of the particles and the lower the sphericity, the more significant the erosion phenomenon, and the severely eroded areas will change with the variation of particle shape.,When the particle size increases, the erosion area tends to concentrate, and the most severely eroded part remains basically unchanged, As the inlet flow rate increases, the degree of blade erosion intensifies and gradually extends towards the root of the blade.
