Abstract:
Biotechnology shows ever growing importance in wastewater treatment. Fungi, especially filamentous fungi have been widely used in industrial wastewater treatment based on their biosorption properties, and this technique shows great potential with extensive studies both domestically and internationally. This review summarizes current research on filamentous fungi application in wastewater treatment, which includes mechanisms, application areas and related affecting factors. The idea of this review is to provide up-to-date information and research trends about filamentous fungi application in wastewater treatment.
